CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Description: The CPR & Automated External Defibrillator (AED) course materials are updated to reflect the release of the 2010 International Liaison Council on Resuscitation Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care as well as the 2015 update. In addition it has broader global application. In many places throughout the world, it can also be used to meet workplace training and retraining requirements. For example, it meets OHSA workplace requirements in the US.

The Emergency First Response CPR & Automated External Defibrillator (AED) programme includes the following skills:

  • Scene Assessment
  • Primary Assessment
  • Adult CPR – Chest Compressions
  • Adult CPR – Chest Compressions Combined with Rescue Breaths
  • Adult CPR and AED Use
  • Child CPR and AED
  • Infant CPR
  • Adult and Child Choking
  • Infant Choking

Who can attend: anyone looking for a short CPR/AED course. No prerequisite is required.

Duration: 3-4 hours.

Certification: Participants receive an international certification from EFR (valid for 2 years).

Language: Delivery and material in English and/or Arabic.
